Geez, it's about time you posted something new!!!

Wow, the posts are sure gettin' sparse lately! I do apologize for my feeble number of posts, but I've actually been quite busy as of late. I actually managed to secure a little freelance job on the side creating backgrounds.
My first background is this Iraqi street scene...

The next series of images is a preview of an exaggerated gladiator character that I'm working on based on concept art by Bryan Wynia. I intend to model some more detail on all of the parts in ZBrush as well as redo the textures, but here's the figure as it stands today...

Each part of clothing/armor is a separate Subtool within ZBrush...

The gladiator body underneath is complete with the exception of feet... well, that and genitalia. He is as smooth as a Ken doll.

I would like to add further detail to the helm and mask, but here's the current look...

I was fairly happy with most of the detail on the face...

THE END

That environment is really nice. The graffitti on the rubble is a nice touch. You should show Dov the gladiator too, especially the head.

great stuff.
it seems like we have trouble transferring the nice details from ZBrush to Maya.

Pretty cool stuff you got going on. Are you pretty happy with the game design program at AI?

Wow Aaron, this is one of the most solid Gladiators I've seen from that class. Great job.

Peace,
Joe

Your gladiator turned out really nice. You should start posting the rest of the backgrounds since I know thats what you are working on. I am excited about seeing the rest of them.

And I wish you were still coming to the club. You missed ironman... :(
